I had the great privilege of visiting the Disneyland Resort this past April/beginning of May. During this amazing trip, I was able to preview some of the exciting things that are starting to roll out this summer for Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Celebration! I had a preview, but you can experience it in the Disneyland parks NOW!
Disneyland is celebrating a big milestone this summer. On July 17, 1955, Walt Disney welcomed guests to his new theme park. At this park, Walt's dream of creating a place where families could come and laugh and enjoy time together became a reality! In Walt's opening day speech, he famously said, "To all who come to this happy place, welcome."
People continue to flock to this happy place today, and in celebration of this anniversary the park is really dialing up that "happy" theme. From the decorations, to Mickey and his pal's new outfits, to entertainment, treats, and more, Disneyland is covered in all things "happy" this summer!
The 70th celebration officially kicked off on May 16th and will run through summer 2026. Guests will get to enjoy exclusive merchandise and treats throughout the Disneyland resort. There is also new entertainment including a character cavalcade called the "Celebrate Happy Cavalcade", the return of the "Paint the Night Parade", and a special version of "World of Color" titled "World of Color Happiness".
One of the coolest things coming this summer is set to debut on July 17th. "A Magical Life" will debut at Disneyland's Main Street Opera House to celebrate the anniversary. For the first time ever, guests will be able to experience a celebration of Walt Disney's great accomplishments in entertainment by hearing from Walt himself! Disney will be unveiling their most ambitious project yet by bringing in an animatronic version of Walt Disney into the Disneyland park. This presentation of Walt and his dream will bring Walt back to the only Disney park he ever was able to walk in... this is going to be such a special tribute!

Maybe you are a Disneyland fan that hasn't visited in a while or maybe Disneyland is a bucket list trip for you... either way this happy celebration is for you. The 70th Anniversary Celebration is already off to a great start and is only going to get better. Will you make it to the happiest place on earth for the happiest celebration ever?
